Today is the 142nd birth anniversary of Marie Skłodowska Curie- Marie Curie for short- the Polish born French Physicist and Chemist.She did pioneering work in Radioactivity and is credited with the discovery of Radium and Polonium.
She was the first woman to win a Novel Prize, first ever to win it twice in 1903 & 1911 and also the only one to win it in two different disciplines .She was also a recipient of Davy Medal and Matteucci Medal.
