Today is the birth anniversary of Bulo. C. Rani , a very talented composer and music director, almost forgotten today. Those of my generation , who are fond of film music in their growing years might have heard a Qawwali by Ismael Azad Qawwal - Hamen to loot liya mil ke husn walon ne- from the film Al Hilal and also a bhajan- Ghoonghat Ke Pat Khol Re , Tujhe Piya Milenge - sung by Geeta Dutt for the film Jogan . Both these songs bear a testimony to his calibre and standing as a music director .
