Today is the death anniversary of Naushad Ali or Naushad for short, one of the most respected music directors of Hindi cinema. During more than five decades of his chequered career, he created many milestones in film music. Mostly known for introducing classical music in the films, he was also the first to employ western notations to Indian film music. The trio of Naushad, Shakeel Badayuni and Muhammad Rafi wove magic together. Naushad was also a producer and produced three movies - Maalik, Udan Khatola and Babul.
