Today is the death anniversary of Nargis Dutt , one of the greatest actresses of Hindi Cinema. Born of a Muslim mother and a Hindu father, she was named Fatima Rashid. She started as child artiste in 1935 but made her debut in 1942 in the movie Tamanna. She is best remembered for her grand Role in Mother India. An epitome of beauty,grace ,poise and acting talent, she teamed well with Raj Kapoor,in Aag,Andaaz & Awara. Her role in Raat aur Din was widely acclaimed.She was the first film actress to be awarded Padma Shri.She was also a nominated Rajyasabha MP.
