Today is the birth anniversary of Khwaja Ahmad Abbas, the
renowned novelist, film writer, director, producer and columnist . He is best
known for having written, directed and produced ‘Saat Hindustani’ , the debut movie of Amitabh
Bachchan. Besides, earlier he had written the screen play of Raj Kapoor
blockbuster ‘Awara’ and other Bollywood hits like ‘Shri 420’, ‘Mera Naam
Joker’, ‘Jagte Raho’ etc. ‘Last Page’- his weekly column in the Blitz was
immensely popular.
