Pankaj Roy

Today is the birth anniversary of Pankaj Roy,a Right hand batsman and a Right arm Medium bowler.In his cricketing career, he played 43 Test matches and scored 2442 runs with an average of 32.56.In First class Cricket he played 185 matches and scored 11868 runs with an average of 42.38. He scored 5 Test centuries and 33 First class centuries.

He is best remembered for the highest opening partnership of 413 runs with Vinoo Mankad against New Zealand in 1956 at Madras Test, the record remaining unbeaten till 2008.
