Today is the birth anniversary of Tenzing Norgay,OSN,GM,the eminent Mountaineer who along with Edmund Hillary scaled the Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, for the first time this day in 1953, incidentally his 40th birthday also.
He was also a recipient of Padma Bhushan.
