Today is the death anniversary of Sunil Dutt, the renowned popular actor of Hindi Cinema.Starting as an announcer/presenter on Radio Ceylon as Srilanka was known then, he moved to acting in Hindi Films and acted in hit films like Sadhana, Mother India,Sujata, Mujhe Jeene do, Reshma aur Shera.
The renowned actress Nargis was his wife.
A five time Lok Sabha MP from North- West Mumbai constituency and member of the Indian National Congress, he also had a stint as a Minister in the Union Cabinet.A winner of many honours and Films Awards,
he was also a Padma Shri Awardee and also a recipient of Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
