Living up to the adage, like my late father, I have never carried a purse.It well nigh means that both of us have had hand to mouth existence,with nothing left for the purse. Even my friends who carry purse or batua in the pocket, do so more out of compulsion to carry Credit/ debit/ ATM card or some stray identify proof as there's hardly much need to carry cash.
Mercifully , a gents purse comes for anything between Rs. 200/- and Rs.2000/- including the fancy stuff, a far cry from the ladies' designer and high-end purses and handbags amazingly costing millions of rupees, meant to make a fashion statement or as a status symbol.
