Sixty years down memory lane, the iconic Qawwali, ' Hamen toh loot liya milke husn walon ne' from the 1958 film Al Hilal sung beautifully by Ismail Azad Qawwal and the group rings a bell in the ears.The Qawwali was written by the lyricist Shevan Rizvi.Unfortunately not much seems to have been written and discussed about him, though he being a very talented lyricist wrote memorable lyrics for Hindi Cinema .The films he wrote lyrics for include Al Hilal, Humsaya, Dil Aur Mohabbat, Ek Musafir Ek Hasina, Gawayya,and Qawwali ki Raat.
