Today is the death anniversary of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. She gave the nursing profession a new respect and reputation herself becoming an epitome of self less service by attending to wounded soldiers day and night during the Crimean war. . She also earned the epithet 'The Lady with the lamp' .
