Today is the birth anniversary of Sardar Swaran Singh . A member of Nehru's first Cabinet in 1952, he held important portfolios in the Cabinet and was the longest serving Union Minister.A well educated person with degrees in Physics and Law, he also held teaching assignment before joining politics.
He was a recipient of Padma Vibhushan.
